Vintage Data Preservation

While trying to determine if a particular composer for the Rye Waltz could be established for Edison Blue Amberol issue #5249 (I eventually concluded ‘not really’), I came across Google Books’s scans of the Dearborn Independent Magazine from February 13, 1926. On the Briefly Told page (random assortment of facts delivered in 1-2 sentences, p.108) was:

A phonograph having records of brass has been invented that can be heard 10,000 years from now.

If only phonographs were still common.
